Chargeback Policy

ReefnBid is built on a simple principle: trust is non-negotiable.

A healthy marketplace depends on accountability from both buyers and sellers, supported by systems designed to create transparency and fairness. Our platform is designed to ensure issues can be resolved within the platform before escalating externally.

Chargebacks Are a Last Resort

A chargeback should not be the first step in resolving an issue.

Buyers are required to:

  • Communicate with the seller through ReefnBid Messenger or email only
  • Make every possible attempt to resolve the issue directly
  • Contact the platform directly at contact@reefnbid.com if communication with seller breaks down

These steps are part of the platform’s trust system and ensure fair outcomes for both parties.

Prohibited Use of Chargebacks

Chargebacks are considered misuse of the platform when they are filed:

  • Without any prior communication with the seller
  • Without attempting resolution through ReefnBid
  • While an internal dispute is still in progress
  • As a repeated or patterned behavior across orders

Bypassing the platform undermines the trust structure ReefnBid is built on.

Consequences

Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue may result in:

  • Suspension of bidding privileges
  • Restrictions on account activity
  • Temporary or permanent account suspension for repeated abuse

ReefnBid reserves the right to take action to protect sellers and maintain marketplace integrity.

When Chargebacks Are Appropriate

Chargebacks may be appropriate only when:

  • The seller is completely unresponsive
  • Internal dispute resolution has failed
  • There is clear fraud or unauthorized activity

Even in these cases, buyers are strongly encouraged to notify ReefnBid first.

Final Note

ReefnBid is designed so that trust is enforced through structure, not assumption.

Using on-platform communication and dispute resolution ensures issues are handled quickly, fairly, and transparently for everyone involved.

Chargebacks should remain a last resort, not a standard practice.
