How Tiers Work

Tiers reflect how active and trusted you are on ReefnBid. You climb from Fry up to Whale as you bid, win, and build your reputation. Your tier shows as a badge on your profile and is calculated automatically - there's nothing to claim.


What Earns a Tier

Your tier is based on four things together: your Karma score, bids placed, auctions won, and a verified payment method.


You sit at the highest tier where you meet every requirement for it:

  • Fry: 0 Karma, 0 bids, 0 wins - verified payment not required. Where everyone starts.
  • Damsel: 25 Karma, 1 bid, 0 wins, verified.
  • Trigger: 100 Karma, 10 bids, 1 win, verified.
  • Barracuda: 300 Karma, 50 bids, 12 wins, verified.
  • Shark: 750 Karma, 150 bids, 30 wins, verified.
  • Whale: 2,000 Karma, 400 bids, 70 wins, verified.

(Requirements may be adjusted over time as the community grows.)


Good to Know

  • Verify to climb. Every tier above Fry needs a verified payment method, or you'll stay at Fry no matter how active you are.
  • Tiers are live. Recalculated from your current activity, so they can go up or down as your stats or payment status change.

The fastest way off Fry: verify your payment method and place your first bid - that qualifies you for Damsel once you reach 25 Karma.
