How Karma Score Works

Karma is your reputation score on ReefnBid. It grows as you take part in auctions and engage with the community, and it helps you climb tiers. Your Karma shows on your profile and updates automatically.


What Builds Your Karma

  • Winning auctions - the strongest signal; each win is worth the most.
  • Your win rate - winning a healthy share of what you bid on adds a bonus.
  • Placing bids - every bid adds to your score.
  • Verifying your payment method - a one-time boost.
  • Following a seller
  • Rating a seller
  • Completing your profile
  • Community contributions - upvotes from the ReefnBid community will count once the forum launches.

In short: bidding helps, winning helps more, and winning consistently while staying verified helps most.


Good to Know

  • It's automatic and recalculates from your activity, so it can move up or down over time.
  • No money signals - Karma is about participation, not how much you spend.
  • A higher Karma score is one of the requirements for moving up tiers (see "How Tiers Work").
  • A failed payment switches off your autopay, so you lose the verified bonus until you update your card. The verified bonus returns the moment you're verified again. The bigger effect is on your tier, which drops to Fry while you're unverified.

How Karma is weighted may be fine-tuned as the platform grows, but the goal stays the same: reward genuine, consistent participation in the reef community.
